Tea

I buy a different brand every time so I can see if there is a difference...nope, they all taste the same to me, including the generic store brands. I go through about a gallon a day.

I buy the store brand...it tastes fine and is usually the cheapest. Cost matters when you have a tea addict in the house.

Milo's

Definitely Luzianne. It does not get cloudy. It's the only brand I will buy.

Lipton only at my house. I also make at leasst a gallon or two a day and we've gone through several brands over the years but for the last few it's been Lipton.

I have been spoiled by that wonderfully southern thing called "sweet tea". So, give me anything, just make it "sweet tea please". I was in Utah the other day and made the mistake of asking for sweet tea. The waitress thought I was from another planet. I want to go to planet Alabama.

We don't drink coffee so I brew tea in the coffee pot. 3 bags of Lipton to a full carafe of water. I don't care if it's sweet or unsweet but if I do sweeten it, I use sweet n low.

We don't drink tea very often, though.

If you mean tea sold in jugs, then definitely Milo's. I get upset when we have potluck day at work and the person in charge of the drinks brings the store brand. Gross. As far as tea bags, I don't have a preference.

I meant tea bags however i didn't state that annd i am always happy to hear all comments,tea bags or by the gallon its all fine,Thanks

Do most of you brew your tea on a stove top or use a tea maker?

I put 3 bags where the coffee goes in the coffee maker and then turn the baby on. Fresh brewed tea in the time it takes to make a pot of coffee.

I also use the coffee pot to brew my tea, and if I sweeten it, I use only honey. However, there is nothing in the world like good sweet tea.
Milo's is by far the best tea you can buy premade. I think Luzianne is just horrible. I've had several store brands that were much better.
Long Island Tea is pretty good, too...

I buy the family sized bags, three bags make a gallon. I start out with cold water and as soon as it starts to boil I put the bags in one at a time cover with a tight lid and turn burner off immediately, let it steep for several minutes then it is ready to add sugar and dilute with cold water and ice.
I can drink it lightly sweetened or unsweetened, does not matter if I am at a restaurant. I do not like it with too much sugar though
I make sure I have an ample supply of tea bags on hand. Right now I have three brands in the cabinet, Sun Leaf from Big Star, American Value from Dollar General, and Red Diamond from who knows where.

lipton for me.

i bought a few boxes of luzianne several years ago because it was on sale. made one batch and didn't like it. gave the rest away.

Tetley for me

My favorite has got to be Long Island Iced Tea,hands down.

Lipton but since I will drink most any ice tea put in front of me I guess its all about the same to me. I do draw the line on sweetener only the pink stuff or sugar Splenda is nasty to me.

Thats how I make my tea as well, Gus!

I started to say, hey you do it just like I do. I like about half the sugar most people do.

I make mine the same way except I add a pinch of baking soda along with the tea bags.It's gotta be Red Diamond at our house(for the family).I buy Milo with Splenda for myself.I have almost replaced my Diet Dr Pepper with Milo tea.

Start almost a panful of water with 2 cups sugar bring to boil. Turn off the heat and add four family size Tea bags (I prefer Red Diamond)Cover let seep. Pour the tea in a gallon pitcher top off with Spring Water Enjoy!

Can't believe I left out the homemade spring water?

Clorinated Water will ruin good tea. Thats what I have against the Milo's and others that city water taste.

BAKING SODA? Sally, that's a new one on me. Why do you add a pinch of baking soda? I'm not making fun of you, I really want to know.

I think you are confusing brewed with distilled.

Lipton, but did you know if you put a pinch of baking soda when it boils it brings out the tea flavor more?
