What does the legislature plan on doing with the excess winnings. I hope it would be something benefitial for the poor in general since this plan would leave the lottery winner in the same need of assistance as they were before.

My understanding is put it in a fund (good luck on getting people to turn in) to save the taxpayers money?
Stacey Campfield is a moron. He is constantly introducing this stupid bills that are a waste of time for the legistlature to have to debate.

I doubt it would affect me. #1 - the only assistance we get is my husband's paycheck and the only time I play the lottery is when I visit relatives in Texas or run up to the "line" on Saturday and grab him some beer. In the unlikely event I win money, I'll have it spent so fast, nobody would have a chance to get it!

You can get some Ga tickets when you come over here .
I highly suspect that any such bill passed into law would be severely challenged, especially by the ACLU. In this particular case I would have to agree with the ACLU. People will waste money regardless. If they are not able to manage their money because of the lottery they will spend their money on other wasteful things. By spending it on the lottery a good portion of their money is going back to the state already.

Let me just understand where you are coming from. If you aren't on public assistance, then you are rich?
I don't see this ever going over. I do justify removing one from assistance if they were to win enough.
