To be honest, I have spent nearly the last 3 weeks of my life at ECM and I have NO idea what you are talking about.

Guess we were in the wrong Unit or wrong Wing?
Wrong building! LOL

Thanks Lawgirl!!! Smiler Gosh, I was thinking in the wrong direction, lol.

I saw the ECM part, and I feel as though ECM has been my home lately. I think I would rather have THAT heathrow home though, lol

Thanks Smiler
I sorry, the ECM Idea house, is a house built by Millinium builders and is open for tours(at a charge), with all proceeds going toward charity's. It has all the newest innovations with lots of detail on appearance as well as function.
I don't know a whole lot more than that other than it has my signature on the mechanical aspects of it. It is located in Heathrow subdivision on Stoney Creek drive. Turn into Heathrow from Cloverdale road, take the second right(stoney creek drive, go around the curve to the left, and the house is on the right. can't miss it.

Actually - you are wrong. I went this afternoon and they had already had 278 people in not quite 2 days. This weekend is "Parade of Homes" tour and several hundred tickets have already been "pre-sold". So far so good. The house is really interesting - good interior design as well.
Some of you may have missed the article in TD and not know what ECM Hospital Charitable Fund is. I didn't either, but since I looked it up, I thought I'd share what I found.

The ECM Charitable Fund is a nonprofit foundation that helps Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital with its health-care programs and services.

The donated funds from the sale of the house along with the funds collected from the tour will go into the Charitable Fund account called "Area of Greatest Need," Briand added. "Once we know the actual amount, a committee will determine how the money will be spent. It must be allocated toward a project that directly benefits our patients."

278 x $10=$2,780. pretty good for the first 2 days, now of those 278 how many were tickets bought by ECM personel? i can tell you a LARGE portion.
The first 30 days will be the peak and we will see just how well this goes over in the community.

I don't think you are getting the concept. It is only opened for two weeks with a hopeful intake of $12-15000. All going to the ECM Caritable Fund. They should be able to raise that amount - especially with the Parade of Homes Tours this weekend. It really is worth the $10.00, plus it goes to a good cause.
I think it is a great idea. I just wish I was in the Shoals during the days it is opened. Showhouses are popular ways to raise money and I've always enjoyed going to them. I'd much rather give my ten bucks to a charity and enjoy a lovely, well-designed house than sit through some of the movies that are being made lately.
