The Tea Party has turned on Alan West, signaling the end of associations of Repub Party members and Tea Party principals.

The fracturing has begun, and its not even 2012.

West said that neither Tea Party groups nor Democrats would make him change his plan to vote for Speaker John Boehner's (R-Ohio) deficit plan. At least one Tea Party faction threatened to find a primary challenger for West because of his support for the Speaker.

"One minute they're saying I'm their Tea Party hero, and three, four days later I'm a Tea Party defector; that kind of schizophrenia I'm not going to get involved in it," West said on conservative Laura Ingraham's radio show.

Response from Rocky:
AND TO QOUTE PAUL HARVEY:  THE REST OF THE STORY (or the TRUTH in the story anyway)

Democrats DID NOT filibuster their own debt bill.  It was tabled.  The RETHUGLITEACONS wanted a 60 vote super majority, which is the threshold for a filibuster.

Since you used the Washington Times, I am relating portions of an article from MSNBC

Lawmakers who said they were determined to avoid an unprecedented government default remained at an impasse over raising the nation's debt limit Saturday as prospects of economic chaos loomed.

Senators were expected to continue talking even though their efforts publicly came to an abrupt halt Friday evening after the Democratic-controlled Senate voted 59-41 to table Republican House Speaker John Boehner's bill, effectively killing it less than two hours after the House passed it.

Democrats opposed the measure because it would require another debt-limit debate early next year.

After the tabling vote, Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid and Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky could not agree on how to proceed on a bill by Reid. McConnell wanted a filibuster, requiring a 60-vote supermajority to move Reid's bill forward, and Reid wanted a procedure allowing his bill to move with a simple majority. Reid said McConnell refused negotiate with him.

AND BTW, THESE ARE THE FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously in the almost rabid, or juvenile minds, of the party line followers on this subject, none of you have a clue. You get the shaft from you respective parties, then are thankful for it.

Sheep.

Step 1: Reid and Boehner get together to strategize how best to pass a bill that increases the debt limit without making any meaningful spending cuts. CCB is taken off the table.

Step 2: Boehner introduces a sham proposal and forces his caucus to get their a–es in line and pass it.

Step 3: Reid takes Boehner’s bill, strips out some cuts, adds more sham cuts and some “revenue” increases; and sends it back to Boehner.

Step 4: Boehner gives a middle finger to his conservative base and passes the modified bill with the support of RINO and Democrats.

Conservatives/Tea partiers and the country get the shaft while the big Govt. Republicans and Dems are free to continue living high on the hog.

Step 3 is now in operation, so get ready for Step 4 where we get shafted.

Roland, you poor uninformed teabagger boob, go back and read some of your posts and the TRUTH that was replied to your false information, then talk about "having a clue"

Lack of intelligence is forgiveable, but arrogance in your stupidity is not.

And you and your crowd are UNFORGIVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Uniformed teabagger boob"? "Lack of intelligence"?

I don't know you but I can easily analyze your persona with the repeated , obviously unhinged attempts to deflect civilized discussion by the weak defensive mode of name calling you immediately fall into.

The anonymous internet allows some people to let their inner anger flow... for others it simply frees their inner moron. I would say in your case, the latter is the predominant trait.

Anonymous/pseudonym posting gives people the freedom to say things in a social setting, that would get their teeth pushed down their throat when face-to-face.

It would be a safe bet to surmise that you have moderate to severe social problems, and extreme self-worth/self-image issues. You would fit the profile of a lonely, confused, directionless person that could really use a shoulder to cry on once in a while.

It reasons that only on the internet can skinny nerds, and people who grew up being outcasts that were shoved in lockers and trashcans on a regular basis, such as your behavior points to, can voice their opinions without retaliation.

You do not seek dialog with differing viewpoints, but rather retort to the false assumption of “The louder you are, the more you thrash around, the more you make incoherent ape-noises at an opponent, the more attention (and sometimes admiration from those with your same symptoms) you get.

The image that you really project to other member is of an incoherent, overemotional effeminatus who needs a straitjacket.

You are a waste of attempted interaction or dialog that would require you to be “adult”.

Roland,

That was a great diatribe and very well written.  I would hope in my case the lenghty analysis does not apply, and of course most of this generalized arm chair psychoanalysis could be applied to anyone who uses social media anonymously.

All of the deflection on your part  STILL does not erase the FACT that in some of the posts you have started, not only was the information WRONG or purposefully misleading, one in particular was correct (A choking from a justice in Wisconsin??) and given the political leanings in your past post as to which political party you support you took up for the wrong participant in the choking incident and didn't even realize it.

So, although you made an eloquent speech about the abnormal psychological make up of some who participate in social media, this still doesn't excuse the FACT:

DUDE, YOU ARE A MORON!!!!!!!   YOUR POSTS  PROVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!  (That's for Jimi)

Actually wright, I have to disagree with you about this analysis.

There are many times that I have disagreed with the policies and actions of President Obama: eg: The healthcare bill lacking universal coverage, closing Gitmo and his temporary extension of the Bush Tax cuts come to mind.

I hope I haven't called those with opposing views idiots, morons or racist without having the evidence to back it up by their statements in posts.

If you will reread the post of Roland or anyone else I have became exasperated with and used these terms, this is usually the result of previous attempts to get the truth out of the poster without results

And let's get REAL, what comes around goes around.

It always amazes me that those on the right can bash all day long but let someone on the left do the same and they are suddenly the "victim"

But I want to assure you that I can and do recognize the wrong that has been done in the Democratic Party and the President particularly.

You used "us" in your post and just for the record, I respect your opinion and do not believe I have ever used these terms when describing you or your posts.

I'm not a republican scooter. I just don't blindly support anything one man or one party does. And you call me a moron? Oh, and big talk for being on the other side a computer screen. If you spoke to me like that in person, I bet your mommy would put you in time out or take away your playstation. And on another note, "analogy" is the incorrect term. They will teach you that next year in High School.

Fair enough. The way I see it, this party war is killing our nation. If the dem's and repub's would stop fighting each other and set their sights on a partnership to alleviate this nation's debt we would be so much better off.

On this we are in total agreement.  But I respectfully suggest that if you unbiasedly look at who has been willing to compromise in this current debt crisis and the former large pieces of legislation that has been passed in the last 2 years, it has been the republican party which refused to cooperate.

TOTALLY AGREED!  And to take it a little further, the creation of Fox News and the counterpoint of MSNBC have taken rivalry to the point of idealogical war amongst the citizenry.

Jobe,

I have the feeling this is falling on deaf ears but have you ever investigated the amount of revenue that is lost each year due to the Bush Tax Cuts?

Estimates of $300 billion plus by some economist.

This is one of the pieces of information Glenn Beck never told you.

I don't disagree Rocky. Republicans usually coddle those with money. I have no problem paying my share so I want others to ante up also.

IF that was "true", then you wouldn't continue to vote against your own best interests. That is just insane.
