The Dems get their wish. Soon, hundreds of Wal-Mart employees will not labor at wages that would make them eligible for some social welfare programs.

The Obama administration has lately been busy improving the lot of working Americans. Just recently, the Obama DoJ put the kibosh on GE selling their appliance line to Sveeden's Electrolux who would have probably kept the production facilities open. Now it looks like the sale will go to China's Qingdao Haier. I might note that a little less than 20 years ago, that the Chinese bought Germany's steel mills and that the Chinese gutted the plants and moved the furnaces to China. I think the Dims are going to make more Americans eligible for free stuff.

China has lied about their true growth rate for a decade. They've hidden their massive internal debt (I've warned of this several times). Their corporations financial filings use the Bernie Madoff school of accounting.

The retail slump in the US has accelerated their decline as we are their best customer.  In turn, Europe is in decline as China is their best customer.  Of course, Europe is our best customer.  See the merry-go-round

I don't think any local stores are affected however the Hometown Market in Gurley, Alabama will be closed.

I have been to the store in Lorreto.  In my opinion it was a test situation from the beginning. The store was poorly  planned, the lanes were crowded. For some reason it seemed the goal was to have the most products in the least amount of space. My first impression was cheap planning with the only reason to visit being  to experience the Wal Mart brand type of shopping.
