Hi to my Forum Friends,

Today, we celebrated American Independence. But, sadly, many folks were celebrating America's independence from God -- at least, if the secularist, atheists, agnostics, and non-believers have their way.

However, you and I know that our God is bigger than their gods.

View this and let it refresh your spirit: as an American and as a Christian American

We Need God in America Again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYtCanpBhVg

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

The extremist theocratic bias of this video is clearly seen in this quote directly from it:

"We eliminated God from the equation of American life, thus eliminating the reason this nation first began."

The underlying agenda of this video is apparent. Part of the message: "Start handing out the word of God in schools." Carman, one of the regulars on the infamous, heretical Trinity Broadcasting Network (Paul and Pinkhaired Jan and their tight little, family-controlled money-grubbing media empire), is yet another promoter of GOVERNMENT-endorsed, GOVERNMENT-directed, GOVERNMENT-administered religious exercises in schools.

Too bad, Carman; there will not, in this nation and under the First Amendment of its Constitution, be a return to those times when GOVERNMENT was co-opted as an adjunct of religion and school children, irrespective of their religious affiliation, were constrained to sit still and shut up and listen to whatever religious messages the local GOVERNMENT dictated for them to hear.

Religion has NOT been banned from public schools. Student-organized and student-led religious groups and clubs, under existing law and existing interpretations of the Constitution by the Supreme Court, are allowed to carry on their activities on public school campuses to the same same extent that other student organizations are allowed that privilege. We have not kicked God out of the schools in this nation. But we have told GOVERNMENT to keep itself out of the business of telling public school students when to pray, to whom to pray, or for what to pray, because that is none of the business of the GOVERNMENT-run public school system!

It is amazing to me that the right wing theocrats, who in other realms of activity insist on non-interference by government and minimization of government intrusion into their lives, would cede to government the prerogative of deciding what kind of religious exercises their own children should be subject to in the public school classrooms!

Find yourself some other "church project," Carman--but find it in your church, not in the public school system!

Hi Mr. Hoob,

Isn't it comical whenever we mention God to see all the atheists and those who are scared to death of being held accountable by God -- running around like Chicken Little screaming, "The sky is falling! The sky is falling!"

Their reactions to God makes me wonder what it was like in the time of Noah when all the scoffers and non-believers -- finally realized that what Noah had been telling them was -- really true.

Yes, the panic in the voices of our non-believing Friends is barely covered by their bravado.

Thank you, Mr. Hoob, for being one who will stand with God.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

When our government started ousting, ignoring, and denying God we almost immediately had to start installing metal detectors and full time policemen in our schools. How many mass school shootings did this nation experience during the 1950's and going back? Not a coincidence, just cause and effect. Liberal policies have never worked and they never will.

That is a crock of the well-known barnyard commodity, Hooberbloob! Metal detectors in school simply did not start showing up "almost immediately" after school prayer and government prescribed school prayer and Bible reading were prohibited in the schools. Your pronouncements on the matter are a perfect example of the flawed post hoc, ergo propter hoc silliness that all too often vastly oversimplifies the causes of moral decline in this nation.

You got it bass-ackwards, Billy Boy. What you and your ilk need to be concerned about is the true and correct application of the Constitutional principle ensconced in the First Amendment. Keep GUMMINT out of the business of dictating religious observances of children in their custody in the public school systems.

Yes, there has been some Gadarene sliding in this nation, but it is consummately silly to blame it on what does or does not happen in a government-dictated two- or three-minute devotional in the public schools.

Your wrong, anyone with eyes, ears, and a brain can't deny what has happened to this country since our government started ignoring God. You're a great example of why this country is in the lousy shape it's in.

"Some Gardarene sliding"? About the dumbest thing you've wrote yet.

I have a hard time taking seriously that kind of slam from someone who is so ignorant he can't use the correct verb tense. It should be "you've written," not the grossly illiterate form you used. The term "Gadarene slide" is probably something you haven't the foggiest concept of, but it is a term that has been used more than once to describe a decline in morals, which is what this thread is discussing. Google it up and educate your illiterate self, Hooberbumpkin!.

Hi Mr. Hoob,

It has always been my experience that when a person goes to such extremes in an attempt to elevate his own perception of "self importance" -- it is really because this person has a strong inferiority complex.

So, please be patient with our Friend. He truly cannot help himself.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Extremes? Hardly. Just doing a little much-needed grammar-tutoring for the benefit of the language-challenged.

But you, Bill, have descended to new levels of childishness with your own silly and irrational interpretations of the matter, lashing out sideways at me through the transparent vehicle of your ostensible message to Hooberbozo the Illiterate. I can conceive of no one on this form as consumed by self-importance as you demonstrated yourself to be with that recent rambling, excessively-detailed bundle of braggadocio you posted concerning your past occupational exploits. And what a chronic hypocrite you show yourself to be with your smarmy little "God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,"following hard on the heels of your caustic little small-minded comment.
