The Westboro Clown College will be making plans to hold a demonstration on May 18th at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa to let Alabamians know that god sent the tornado to ravage Tuscaloosa because of gay rights and football worship.  It is my hope that the folks on campus that day open up a can of "whuppin'" on these jerks.  Most of the college kids will be absent, but I think most high school will be holding graduation ceremonies that day which will likely be disruptive.

Hillary in 2016?  Why not?  We've already had one "girly man" serving in office for the past 7 years, we might as well give her chance as well!

Perhaps the best response to these Westboro wackos would be the treatment that the good people of Pulaski, Tennessee gave to the Ku Klux Klan some years ago when the Klan scheduled a Saturday demonstration on their town square.  They closed all the stores and everyone stayed away from the site of the demonstration, leaving the relatively few Klan members alone except for some media coverage that basically focused on the town's sensible strategy and showed the Klan up for the kind of Klowns they are.

Because these religious perverts enjoy the same Constitutional protections as other people, decent folks have to put up with their perverse and disgraceful shenanigans.  They can no more be denied permission to demonstrate than can the nutty Klan. So I still say the best treatment for these deranged folks is to ignore them.  It is publicity, after all, that they thrive on.  Deny them that and they should wither up and blow away.

Contendah is right. The Phelps clan thrives on controversy and hopes someone will do something so they can run to the courthouse and file a lawsuit. They aren't concerned with sharing the gospel since they're Calvinists who believe they are the elect and everyone else is on the express train to hell. Ignoring their bile is the answer.

Mad, you just can’t see that the repub approach to Obama is just as assaulting as the wesbro crowd. I’m sure they feel  justified and should be as nasty as possible and be immune to any criticism.

The Benghazi affair is not the issue.  Nobody [repubs] gives any more of a **** about those killed than Cheney did about the 4500 kids who died due to G Bushes lies.

I have acquaintances who still do not believe Romney lost the election. They were literally in bed for weeks after the election. They lost weight, became physically sick and still cry tears about the election because they ,from the pulpit, were assured that God himself would allow Romney and ryan win the election. Some even doubted God in the aftermath of the election. Fine upstanding Christians deserted friends and family over losing the election. You still cannot discuss the election with them they will actually wring their hands, run away from you screaming “it’s not so” I don’t want to hear it.

I see that very attitude in dire& Co.  I’m sure you are of that discipline.

I just hope you see yourselves as wrong being on this raging mission to change history.

I don’t know if you are guilty but the republican party sends out soldiers such as dire to say every nasty thing about the POTUS in every venue possible and to hell with the nation as they are doing it.

If you were not so blind Obama had the election won two years ago.

The economy is turning around  get behind the POTUS and help not hinder.

As it turned out God is NOT ON YOUR SIDE.

The republican assault on obama is what they were sent there for.  If barry had his way the country would be in far worse shape than ever.  Just because someone does not agree with you does not make them radical.  I am mad over the election, but not sick.  When the voting public votes for personal gain over national gain, a democrat will win every time.
