Then, it is not clear what you did mean -- if not the Law? There is no Old Law and New Law. There was the Law given to Moses in the Old Testament for the people of Israel.

And, there is the Dispensation of Grace brought to us through Jesus Christ.

And, that is what I was addressing. If you had something else in mind; please tell me.

I said commandments is not baptism a commandment? Or are you going to pick and choose the ones that suit you?

In an earlier discussion titled "VPLee123....Thank you!" -- I wrote, "We believe, from the Bible, that when a believer dies -- he/she is immediately in the presence of Jesus Christ and God the Father."

And, B50 asks me, "I thought you had to wait for the Rapture, Bill. So heaven immediately or not?"

Good question! Glad you asked. True, for all Christian believers, upon death, the next moment they are alive in the presence of Jesus Christ -- more alive than ever before. Our mortal bodies are in the grave; but, our spirit, the true essence of all people -- will have a great "Home Coming" celebration -- and all Christ believing loved ones and friends who have gone on before -- will be standing with Jesus Christ -- to greet us -- to welcome us home!

Jesus, when He ascended into heaven, was in His immortal body with the nail scars and the sword scar still evident. After His resurrection, but, before His ascension -- he was in His immortal body which closely resembled His older mortal body. This is why He could eat with His apostles after His resurrection (John 21:12-15). We believers will have such an immortal body also at the Rapture (1 John 3:2).

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

bill,
I may be wrong, but I think the reason his old worn out mortal body resembled
the new model was because it's the same one. When he first rose from death he
was Glorified. You can do any thing you want if you're God Glorified. When
people in Heaven eat something they don't comsume it. it will disappear and you
will realize the taste. A lot more might be going on in heaven than you know.

Hi Child,

I agree that after His resurrection He was in His glorified body and could easily traverse between heaven and earth. I will go one step further and say that I believe our universe is made up of more than the four dimensions we know. In our world, we have four dimensions: height, width, length, and time. I tend to agree with Christian scientists who suggest there are twelve or more dimensions. Given that, heaven, hell, and mortal earth could all be occupying the same physical space, but, in a different set of dimensions.

So, when Jesus appeared in the Upper Room without coming through the door -- did He walk through the wall -- or did He come from a different dimension into their worldly dimension? Interesting to think about.

We know that Jesus ate breakfast with the apostles; but, we really have no idea what happened to the food. Anything we could suggest would be only speculation. But, I suppose if I can speculate about the dimensions -- you can speculate about His digestive system.

Discussions like this are fun and they are productive -- for they encourage us to get more deeply involved in studying Scripture. And, the more we are in Scripture -- the more insights we will find. In another discussion, I mentioned that I had a new insight into the meaning of the Scripture verse saying that when we marry we become "one flesh." Now, it seem logical to me that this "one flesh" can be the child conceived in a man/woman relationship. Both parents contribute 23 chromosomes to the new child and together they produce one child, one flesh.

Child, thank you for stirring my imagination tonight.

God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,

Bill

Hi Child,

I am sorry; but, I have no idea what you are telling me. Can you please clarify your intent with this post.

Thank you and God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
