I'll talk to you, Dixie.

We are currently having our entire house painted, from top to bottom. Getting ready to sell and MOVE HOME!!! But, I am going Crazy living in a house that is torn up and absolutely filthy!!! We stayed in a hotel the last 2 nights b/c the paint fumes were so bad. I just keep repeating to myself, "70 more days, 70 more days..." That and a few glasses of wine a night are getting me through the horrors of remodeling. Cool

What's up with you/ya'll?

mandomama, I have a home remedy for those paint fumes if you are interested!
All you need is a bowl of white vinegar, and cut up some lemons and place in the bowl.
Wad up some paper towels and let them stand out of the vinegar, sort of like a wick.
It will absorb oil base paint fumes, & it especially works well, if you are using Kilz. Since you are doing a complete re-paint, I'd place 1 bowl in every room. And don't let anyone tell you that this doesn't work, because it does! My husband has been a painter for 13 years, and we use it regularly. Good Luck!
