When did Subway raise the price of footlongs to $6.00?

Why did you not ask those working there?

Beyond popular belief, only a few of them are actually 5$. The subs that are cheaper to make, such as ham and roasted chicken, have always been, and still are 5$. Subs like turkey, roast beef, chicken teryaki, etc, are more.

That chicken salad sandwich is good!!!

I like the teryaki chicken. I wish they'd sell their onion sauce by the bottle.

As for me I used to eat at Subway a lot more and they do make a decent sandwich but no where near as good as Firehouse Subs. I do wish that Firehouse was expanding into this area. Another sub shop that we don't have anywhere around, that is great, is Jimmy John's.

Subway is the best choice for healthy options. In terms of taste, it really blows. Its very bland. I personally love quiznos.

They still have them at Elgin, just not all of them are 5.00. I think there're four or five for 5.00.

I like Subway better than most because most of the others sandwiches seem "heavy" to me. Subway's seem "lighter" and I suspect they are healthier, but that is personal opinion.

I have still never found a sub that would touch the old steamed subs we used to get late nights at the compac on pine street back in the day.

Amen to that, MentalFloss! I would always get ham & cheese with mushrooms. They were fantastic.

I got the footlong chicken salad for $5.00 at Subway on Jackson Hwy in Sheffield yesterday. It was delicious. They put grapes in their chicken salad.
