I am new here, and trying to navigate the ropes.. Who do I contact for suggestions? lol

As someone that helps administrate a g-rated discussion site with over 60,000 members, this is a totally different ballgame than I am used to.

My problem/suggestion is about logging in and out of the timesdaily forum. It takes about 10 minutes to get the applet to load for logging out, or back in. It's pretty hard to navigate in the aspect that all timesdaily pages have to be x'ed out for it to go through.

My mother is a prevalent posting member here, so I think it probably irritates her more than me, but I wonder if anyone else is having this problem. I am sure it's not our browser or our hi-speed internet, but maybe there is another reason that this is happening?

As my suggestion goes, on the site I help with, when you log in it takes you immediately to a seperate page where you put your sign in information. When you decide to log out, all you simply do is x out of the page. There is still an option to save your info there, so that you can stay logged in if you so choose.

I'm wondering if the difference may be in that, the place I help with is privately owned and the forum is unlike any other on the internet because the owner itself is a software programmer for MSN.

Anyone have anything that might can help us figure out this problem? Or is it just us? I'm not used to feeling so lost.. lol.. But seeing as my mother likes this place so much, I've been reading and would like to join in more, just the logging in problems make it a tad time consuming and I have been known to be lazy when it comes to things like that.. LOL

Thanks in advance to whomever that reads and answers these. As an admin myself, I know you guys may not be thanked enough for your work, so thank you very much for doing all that you can.

Uber, I am currently logged in on I.E. but I do use Mozilla especially for my admin'ing on the site I help with, so that might be worth a shot.

At least on that browser I can save my info and let mom have the I.E. to use for her sign in info.

Thank you for that suggestion, It would have taken me awhile to even think of that. Smiler
