Hi to my Forum Friends,
In the recent discussion I began, presenting the article "Prayer And The Fabric Of America" -- I suggested, "I just want to share this very informative article which I read today on TownHall.Com -- which adds more mortar and strength to the fact that America was founded as a Christian nation -- and America IS a Christian nation. Of course, our atheists, secularists, and other vanilla-flavored non-believers will immediately begin huffing and puffing -- in a weak effort to deny what is so evidently the truth."
And, true to his nature, our devout atheist Friend, Uno, responds, "So, Bill, right hand man of God Himself: Exactly what does the Lord think we should do with the economy? Rick Perry didn't seem to get a clear answer."
Uno, my Friend, you have stumbled upon my reason for staying out of the "spitting contests." I have one desire -- to share what I believe to be Biblical truths with all our Religion Forum members and readers. Of course, any time I post anything which is pro-God, pro-Christianity, pro-Bible, etc. -- we know that our small handful of resident atheists, secularists, and vanilla-flavored non-believers will be jumping up and down, huffing and puffing, in their vain attempt to disprove God, Jesus Christ, Christianity, the Bible, and everything which even slightly resembles any of these. So be it.
Since my purpose is to share Biblical truths, as I see them -- I will often post a new discussions and then wait for my loving and faithful anti-God followers to jump into the sandbox. While they are busy digging in the sand to bury their thoughts -- once in a while one of them will come up with a good comment or question. Then, I will jump back in and respond Biblically to their comment or question. In this way, our non-believing Friends are helping us share the Gospel.
But, as virtually always happens -- after a short time they have managed to hijack the discussion and it becomes counterproductive to stay there any longer.
I believe my best contributions to the Religion Forum is to present new topics of discussion and to dialogue with my Forum Friends, believers and non-believers, until the atheist "spitting contest" begins. I do enjoy the exchange of ideas -- but, not rock throwing, name calling, and spitting.
So, in a nutshell, that is why I came on the Religion Forum (or its predecessors) almost five years ago -- and why I will stay as long as it is God's will that I be here. After all, if God did not remove the thorn in the apostle Paul's side (2 Corinthians 12:7-10) -- why should He remove this thorn in the side of our non-believing Friends?
God bless, have a wonderful, blessed day,
Bill
