Two reasons -- DoJ policy of over prosecution of important defendants -- taking scalps
and he's guilty.
Can't buy it, but that's just me ..

You obviously either did not read the article or, if you read it, you failed to grasp its powerful case against the continued imprisonment of Don Siegelman!
Yes, I read the article. Didn't say anything new, except this time Bush wasn't explicitly blamed. The whole thing reads like a tin foil conspiracy theory worthy of Obama is a Kenyan alien baby. Like I stated, federal prosecutors over charge, especially important persons, to add scalps to their belt. Seigelman was caught doing what Dems have done in Alabama for generations.

Stating the obvious doesn't cause my BP to rise -- 119/80 ten minutes ago.
It was Karl Rove who destroyed Siegelman.
I had a close friend that was one of our state senators. (Not from NW AL, however.)
He said that Don Siegelman's administration was packed full of the biggest thugs you have ever seen. Do business with the state, and his henchmen would be after their "fair share" of the contracts.
He said over the years, state corruption has gone from highway building to computer software contractors--and their $ millions of software never implemented.
Siegelman's corruption made the George Wallace's South Alabama Boys look like choir boys.
To me, Siegelman's prosecution was like that of Al Capone. They got him on charges they could easily prove. He was not prosecuted for the most serious offenses as they were more difficult to document.
And, Dandy Don was and is a really bad man.
True believers will always blame Bush and Rove. Rove corrupted a few voter precincts in Alabama, a federal judge, a federal prosecutor and continues to manipulate Eric Holder's DoJ. Some people really do need tin foil hats and full underwear.
the article is very one sided, so shouldn't be taken as fact.
It was Karl Rove who destroyed Siegelman.
So what made Rove want to destroy Seigleman... or Who I might ask?
He was a Democrat governor of a state Bush wanted to help re-elect a republican POTUS.
bush sent mad-dog carl to Alabama to ensure trumped up charges relating to gambling.
the plot was to get the idiots of Alabamer to rush headlong to the religious cause of evil in an Alabamer gambler governor. it worked. See ribbitt you didn't even know the obvious. typical here in Alabamer. It is just plain awful.

yep, very interesting bestyaking. I believe you are one of our Alabamer idiots who never pays attention but waits on someone else to inform them after they have screwed up. funny.

Just wanted to hear someone say Bush was behind it, and for that reason.
