Really?? Forever?? Wow....I wish someone had told me that before I lost my job several years ago....

Whose job did you say you lost? I think you said that you lost "my job". How can it be your job if it didn't belong to you.

My post was dripping with sarcasm....

Sarcasm met with sarcasm
It wasn't a strike. These people did not walk off the job. When their job ended they formed a picket line in protest. It was a bad situation but not for D'Addario. Brown Nose Joe should be ashamed of himself. I will vote from my heart and my heart can't allow me to vote for someone like Joe Pampinto
This is Pampinto's blurb:

Place Number 1
Joe E. Pampinto

Joe is a lifelong resident of Muscle Shoals and attended Muscle Shoals High School. He and his wife, Robbin, are graduates of the University of North Alabama. Joe has two children, Payton and Parker. He served as member and Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Board from 1992 until 2000. Joe was elected to the Colbert County Board of Education in 1994 and was reelected in 2000. He has served as chairman of the board until resigning to assume his City Council seat. He has served on the Alabama Association of School Board's Board of Directors and the Alabama Risk Management for Schools. Joe is employed at Wise Alloys and he is "honored to serve the taxpayers."

He's pictured on far left...

PA, Alabama is one of only three states that do not restore pollitical rights (voting/holding elected office) upon completion of sentences, at least on first offense. Many have tried to correct this injustice, but some (read Queen Tory King) oppose this for some perverse reason that they are unable to articulate.

In Alabama, one may be pardoned or have the record expunged, the latter option gaining popularity in a state with so many rules and regulations designed to keep a person down and out. I personally know attorneys, physicians, nurses, school teachers, gospel ministers, etc., who have had a felony conviction at one time or the other. Once it's expunged, it's as if it didn't happen. I would assume this to be the case here.
I just found this in the Courier Journal about Lane Roland:

Voters in the City of Muscle Shoals will now
have a choice when it comes to electing their Place One City Councilman. Lane Roland is announcing his candidacy for the Muscle Shoals City Council Place One.

When asked why he is running, Roland said,
“Having worked in the City of Muscle Shoals for twenty-five years, first as a business owner and then as general manager of North Alabama Gas District, I feel a real connection to the citizens here in Muscle Shoals. The people of Muscle Shoals have made it a great community in which to live and work. Now that I have retired, I see this as a great opportunity to give back.” Roland opened the first video store in Muscle Shoals, the Video Station, in September of 1983. He became general manager of North Alabama Gas District, after working 22 years as an electrical engineer for Sheffield Utilities. Roland earned an electrical engineering degree in 1972 from Auburn University, while on an athletic scholarship. He also received a Masters of Business Administration from the University of North Alabama in 1975. Roland also received a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) from the State of Alabama. He is also an active member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals and is the current President of the Muscle Shoals Lions Club. Roland also served six years
in the Alabama National Guard, 115th Signal
Battalion. He is also a member of the National
Wild Turkey Federation. Roland has been married to the former Lois Rickman for 39 years. They have two grown children.

In putting forth his vision for the City of Muscle Shoals, Roland stated,“These are hard times, not only for our senior citizens, but for hard-working men and women that may have recently lost their jobs to corporate downsizing or jobs relocating overseas to China or Mexico. I feel local government should be active in recruiting good paying jobs for its citizens.”
Roland continued by saying, “Our Senior
Citizens have worked long and hard to reach
retirement, only to be met with high food, medical, and gas costs.” said Roland. “I will actively seek federal, state and local funds that are available to our citizens and help them anyway I can.

Roland ended by saying, “I will have an open door policy and will be available for all the citizens to voice any concerns they may have. I look forward to working for you, the people of Muscle Shoals, and I would appreciate your vote.

I don’t know Joe Pampinto but I haven’t heard anything good about him around town. Everyone says he’s a horse’s rear and likes to show his authority. From what I’ve heard I couldn’t vote for him either.

Who is Prince Albert talking about? Neither of these two guys has ever been a policeman. The mayor is running unopposed and he used to be a policeman but he has never been in jail to my knowledge.

Maybe princealbert is refering to the Russellville election. I think Buckshot Saint is running for mayor, and he is a convicted felon.

My neighbor that works at Wise just told me that Pampinto took all of the stools out of the break rooms. People now have to stand to eat lunch. AMAZING. This guy must be something else.

What a horse's rear!!! Someone should take the chair out of his office!!!!

I have no idea why Pampinto did this, but I once worked in a restaurant where the manager did the same thing. Employees would not clean up after themselves, so after repeated warnings, she removed the stools from the breakroom counter. It was amazing how attitudes changed after that.

Yea they sure did..... McDonalds still sucks!
