It's coming up. And the easiest, cheapest, and surest way to get a little scootie on V-Day is to make up a playlist of songs for your honey. Include some romantic stuff, and some stuff you know she likes, songs you sing together. It only takes 10 songs, 20 is better. Add a V-Day Beanie Baby and a mushy card. You'll be set for a month.

Start with this one:

I know what I'm talking about. Wink

You can have a CD made at Wal-Mart . You pick out the songs ( up to 20 ) , the CD Cover , you name the CD . All for about $20.00 , thats tax and shipping . I have one and love it , it has mine and hubbys favorite songs we had when we first met .

Guys - I don't know if most women are like me but for Valentine's Day, I'd much rather do something hubby and I both enjoy - like a round of golf, going to a concert, Nashville or Memphis for the weekend - than chocolate or jewelry - or any other gift that just seems like a have-to afterthought.

Your undivided attention and sharing an enjoyable experience is worth more than any bauble.

George, are you one of those women who say, "Don't get me anything, honey", then spend the next six months pissed off? Wink

Don't fall for it guys.

If the only time you get a little "scootie" is Valentine Day, then you're not doing something right. You get it right & you'll have "scootie" every night & it won't be restricted to only once either.

Let me guess, no kids?

No-I agree with George. I like gifts that have meaning. Gifts that say "Hey-I thought of you". Not "Oh s***! Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I've not gotten her anything".

In my own defense - and I'm assuming that "scootie" made the rest of my post difficult for you - you will notice:

1) I posted this well in advance of V-day
2) The playlist, as I outlined it, requires some thought
3) The playlist, as I outlined it, requires that you know something about your honey.

Geez Roll Eyes is it no wonder we stay confused?

Guys, I take it back. Buy her a **** vacuum cleaner, and go hunting. We can't win, so we might as well just take care of ourselves.

Crusty, I think(?) all the ladies like your idea...very thoughtful. I agree that when it's obvious thought of me actually went into the gift, it makes me feel good. One of my favorite gifts from my husband didn't cost him anything but time. He wrote a poem about me.

Too late, Joy - you're all getting vacuum cleaners. Razzer

The time involved is more valuable than the money. One of my favorites was an after dinner walk. We took our time looking in shop windows (lived at 7 Points) then had coffee at Hardees. When we got home the kids had cleaned up the kitchen. Smiler
