Valentine's Day - Guys Only

Valentine Day no longer has any signifigance for me, but i do have some womanly advice that might help the guys....

You can have a CD made at Wal-Mart . You pick out the songs ( up to 20 ) , the CD Cover , you name the CD . All for about $20.00 , thats tax and shipping . I have one and love it , it has mine and hubbys favorite songs we had when we first met .

Last year, Mr. Sand surprised me with a trip to Nashville and reservations at Sambuca's. But the R-E-S-P-E-C-T he gives me all year long keeps him scootin' right along.

Guys - I don't know if most women are like me but for Valentine's Day, I'd much rather do something hubby and I both enjoy - like a round of golf, going to a concert, Nashville or Memphis for the weekend - than chocolate or jewelry - or any other gift that just seems like a have-to afterthought.

Your undivided attention and sharing an enjoyable experience is worth more than any bauble.

No-I agree with George. I like gifts that have meaning. Gifts that say "Hey-I thought of you". Not "Oh s***! Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I've not gotten her anything".

Heck no! I'm not sentimental and don't want for any stuff. If I want a pair of earrings, or chocolate candy, I'll go buy 'em myself. But going to a concert or spending time with Hubby is priceless.

At some point you should watch the stand-up comedy video by Kevin James called "Sweat the Small Stuff". The last segment is where he talks about how guys buy cards for their ladies and compares it to the way ladies buy cards for their guys.

It's one of the funniest and most accurate sketches I've ever seen.

Crusty, I think(?) all the ladies like your idea...very thoughtful. I agree that when it's obvious thought of me actually went into the gift, it makes me feel good. One of my favorite gifts from my husband didn't cost him anything but time. He wrote a poem about me.
